Driver licence approval: how to pass first time
Every driver on imcomingg is reviewed by a person before they can accept a single booking. That check is the reason riders trust the green dot next to your name — and it is the only thing standing between you and your first job. Most rejections come from the photo, not the driver.
What we check
- The licence is real and readable. All four corners visible, no glare across the text, no fingers over the details.
- It has not expired. An expired licence is rejected automatically, every time.
- The name matches your account. Not a nickname, not a shortened version — the name exactly as printed on the licence.
- The licence class allows what you are doing. If your country requires a specific commercial or passenger-carrying category, it must show.
- Vehicle details are filled in. Make, model and plate. Riders match these to the car that pulls up.
The five reasons uploads get rejected

How to photograph a licence properly
- Put it on a plain dark surface. A wooden table or a dark cloth beats white paper.
- Use daylight. Never use flash — it produces the glare that causes most rejections.
- Hold the phone parallel to the card, not tilted, and fill most of the frame.
- Check the photo before you upload: can you read the licence number, the expiry date and your name at a glance? If you cannot, our reviewer cannot either.
- Keep the file under 2 MB. Most phones do this automatically; if not, share it at "medium" size.
If you can read every character on your phone screen without zooming, the upload will pass. That is the whole test.
What the statuses mean
- Incomplete — your account exists but the vehicle and licence form has not been submitted. You cannot go online.
- Pending — submitted and waiting for a reviewer. Usually under 24 hours. You cannot go online yet.
- Approved — you are cleared. The "Go online" switch unlocks and riders in your city see you immediately.
- Rejected — we could not verify the document. You will see the reason written on your dashboard. Fix it, upload again, and you go back into the queue.
After approval
Approval is not the end of the process — keeping your details current is part of staying on the platform:
- Re-upload before your licence expires, not after. An expired licence on file means you come offline.
- Update the plate immediately if you change vehicles. A rider who sees the wrong plate will cancel, and they are right to.
- Pick your services honestly. If you do not want to carry parcels or tiffin containers, leave those unticked — you will only get the jobs you actually want.
- Go offline when you stop for the day. Riders booking a driver who does not respond is the fastest way to lose a rating.
Your rating starts at your first message
Riders judge you on the chat before they judge you on the drive. Quote a clear price, give a realistic arrival time, and tell them if you are delayed. Drivers who do those three things get repeat riders — and on this platform, where the rider picks the driver from a list, repeat riders are the whole business.
