Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This policy explains what imcomingg collects, why, and what you can ask us to remove. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, email support@imcomingg.com and ask.
What we collect
Riders. Your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, city and country. For each booking: the pickup and drop-off you type, the distance, the service and vehicle you chose, your note to the driver, and the messages in that booking's chat thread.
Drivers. Everything above, plus your vehicle make, model and plate, the number of seats, the jobs you offer, the description you write about yourself, and your driving licence or photo ID — the document number, its expiry date, and the image you upload.
Everyone. Your chosen currency and, if you use the emergency button, the country you select for it. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Why we collect it
- To connect you with a driver. A driver cannot pick you up without knowing where you are and what you need.
- To verify drivers. The licence or photo ID exists so riders can trust that a real, licensed person is behind the wheel.
- To keep agreements honest. Chat threads are stored so both sides can point to what was actually agreed about price, timing and handover.
- To let people follow a job. A tracking code shows the stage and the route of a job. It does not expose your phone number, your email or your history.
- To show reviews. A review you write is published on that driver's profile with your display name and the date.
Driving licences and photo ID
Documents uploaded for approval are used for one purpose: deciding whether that person may drive on the platform. They are visible to the review team and are never shown to riders, never published on a profile, and never sold or shared for marketing. A rider sees the outcome — approved or not — never the document.
If a driver's account is removed, the document image is removed with it.
Where your information is stored
This site currently keeps accounts, bookings, chat threads, plans and reviews in your own browser's local storage on the device you are using. That has two consequences worth stating plainly: your data is not sitting on our server, and it is not synchronised between your phone and your laptop. Clearing your browser data clears your account with it.
When imcomingg moves to server-side storage, this section will be updated before the change goes live, and it will say where the servers are and how long data is kept.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information to anyone.
- We do not share your contact details with a driver or a rider beyond what you type into a booking.
- We do not publish licence images, home addresses or phone numbers on any profile.
- We do not read your chat threads for advertising.
Government ID verification
We ask for a government photo ID — a residence card, national ID, passport, driving licence or voter ID — in two situations only: from drivers, before they can go online, and from both travellers on a shared journey, at the point the journey is booked.
Booking an ordinary ride, parcel or tiffin requires no ID from a rider. We ask for identity documents where they materially reduce risk, not as a default, because collecting a document we do not need is itself a risk to you.
This is the most sensitive thing we hold, so here is exactly what happens to it.
What we collect
- Your full name as printed on the document
- The document type, the issuing country, the document number and the expiry date
- The photo or scan you upload
Who can see the image
Only our review team, and only to make the approve-or-reject decision. The image is never shown to another user, never published on a profile, never attached to a booking, and never sold or shared for marketing.
What the other party sees
When a job is confirmed, the rider and the driver each see the other's name, document type, issuing country and the last four digits of the number — nothing else. Never the image, never the full number.
That limit is deliberate. A full ID number and a document photo together are enough to impersonate someone, so handing them to a stranger would create the exact fraud this feature exists to prevent. Four digits is enough to check that the card in someone's hand matches the account in front of you, and not enough to be used against you.
It follows that nobody on imcomingg ever needs to send you their ID document, and you should never send yours. If a person asks for it, or offers theirs, treat that as a warning sign rather than a courtesy.
How long we keep it
While your account is active, because verification has to be re-checkable. Ask us to delete your account and the document image is deleted with it. If a document expires, we ask for a current one and the old image is replaced.
Rejections
If we cannot verify a document we record the reason and show it to you so you can fix it. We do not share a rejection with any other user.
Live location on the map
A driver can share their live position during a job so the rider can watch them approach on a map. This is the most sensitive thing the platform handles, so the rules around it are deliberately tight.
It is always the driver's choice
Nothing is shared unless the driver taps Share live location on that specific job, and their browser then asks for permission separately. Declining costs them nothing — every stage of the job still updates without it.
One job at a time, and it ends by itself
- Sharing applies to a single booking, not to the driver generally.
- It stops automatically the moment the job is completed or declined.
- The driver can stop it at any point with the same button.
- A position older than 90 seconds is shown as "last seen", never as live — we would rather admit the feed has stopped than show a stale dot.
Who can see it
Only people holding that booking's tracking code: the rider, and anyone they chose to send the link to. It is not searchable, not public, and not shown on any profile. A driver's position is never visible when they are simply online and waiting for work — only during a job they agreed to share.
What is stored
Latitude, longitude, accuracy, heading and speed, with a timestamp, attached to that one booking. We keep the recent trail so the map can draw the route travelled during the job. We do not build a history of a driver's movements outside jobs, and we do not use location for advertising or profiling.
Maps
Map imagery is served by OpenStreetMap. Loading a map means your browser requests map tiles from them, which involves your IP address, as with any image loaded from another site. The mapping code itself is served from imcomingg, not a third party.
Sharing a job with someone you trust
Any live ride, parcel or tiffin can be shared — by WhatsApp, by text, or by copying the link. We build the message; you send it from your own device. We do not contact anyone for you, and we never store the phone number or name of the person you send it to.
The link works because it carries the tracking code. Anyone holding it sees the route, the stage, the driver's name and vehicle, and the handover proof. They cannot see your address history, your contact details, your ID, or any other job. Without the code, the tracking page shows nothing at all — which is what keeps a shared journey visible to the people you chose and invisible to everyone else.
Shared journeys
A journey listing is public on the board — that is the point of it. Anyone visiting the site can see what you chose to put in it, so put in what you need to and nothing more.
What is visible to everyone
- Your display name and your account type, with your rating and reviews if you are an approved driver
- The route, the stopping points, the date and the time you entered
- Seats, price per person, and the preferences you set
- Your notes — so do not put your home address, your phone number or your exact door in them
- The journey code
What is not published
- Your email address and phone number are never shown on a listing
- Your licence image is never shown to anyone but the review team
- Messages between you and another traveller are visible only to the two of you
- Requests to join are shown only to the person who posted the listing
The travellers preference
A listing can state that it is for women travellers only, or men travellers only. We deliberately do not store anyone's gender on their account. The preference lives on the listing, not on a person, and it is honoured by asking people to respect it at the point of joining. That means it is a social protection rather than an enforced one — and it is worth knowing that, because it affects how much you should rely on it.
The journey code and trusted contacts
When you share a journey with someone you trust, we generate the message for you to send yourself. We do not contact them, we do not store their phone number or email, and we do not track whether the message was sent. Anyone holding the code can see the route, the date, the name on the listing and whether you have checked in as arrived — nothing else, and no contact details.
Check-ins and reports
An arrival check-in records only that you confirmed you arrived, and when. A report records what you selected, what you wrote, and who sent it, and is kept even if the listing is removed — otherwise a person could clear their record by deleting and reposting.
Deleting a journey
Closing a listing removes it from the board immediately. Messages already exchanged remain in both people's chat history, because a record that only one side can delete protects nobody.
Payments and tips
Fares and tips are settled directly between the rider and the driver. We do not process the payment and we do not store card numbers or bank details. A tip amount recorded against a review is stored only so it can appear on the driver's own earnings view.
Your choices
- See what is held about you. Ask, and we will tell you.
- Correct it. Your profile, vehicle details and description are editable in your portal at any time.
- Delete it. Ask us to remove your account and we remove your profile, contact details and uploaded document. Reviews you wrote may remain, with your name replaced, because removing them would misrepresent a driver's record.
- Withdraw from a chat. You can stop messaging at any time; the existing thread is kept as the record of what was agreed.
Children
imcomingg is not intended for anyone under 18. Do not create an account if you are under 18, and do not book a driver for an unaccompanied minor without arranging it explicitly with that driver first.
Safety information
The emergency button on every page stores nothing about you except the country you pick, so the right number shows next time. It does not contact anyone on your behalf, and it does not send your location anywhere. Calling the number places a normal phone call from your own device.
Changes to this policy
If we change how information is handled, the date at the top changes and the affected section is rewritten in plain language rather than buried. Material changes will be announced on the site.
